This chapter shall be cited and may be referred to as the "Park
Use Law."
It is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of Waterford
by the adoption of this chapter to establish regulations for the use
of Town parks and playgrounds.
This chapter shall apply to all parks and playgrounds owned,
leased, operated or controlled by the Town.

A.
Use of Town parks and playgrounds shall be subject to the following
rules and regulations, which shall apply to any person visiting, using
or upon any part of them:
(1)
Parks and playgrounds shall be open only from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00
p.m. each day and shall not be used, visited or occupied at other
times.
(2)
Town trails shall be only open from dawn until dusk each day and
shall not be used, visited or occupied at other times. In this section,
dawn is defined as 1/2 hour before sunrise and dusk is defined as
1/2 hour after sunset.
(3)
No motorbike or motor-propelled vehicle of any type shall be permitted
in parks and playgrounds.
(4)
Littering is prohibited in parks and playgrounds, and disposal of
any materials may be accomplished within parks or playgrounds only
in receptacles provided by the Town.
(5)
Open fires are prohibited at all times in parks and playgrounds.
B.
Failure to observe any of the rules and regulations set forth in
this section shall constitute a violation of this chapter.

A violation of this chapter shall constitute an offense punishable
by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding
15 days, or both.
