The duties of the Traffic Engineer are incorporated into the duties of the office of the City Engineer.
The Traffic Engineer shall:
A. 
Determine the installation and proper timing and maintenance of traffic control devices in accordance with the Vehicle Code and the Pennsylvania Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD);[1]

B. 
Conduct engineering analyses of traffic accidents and devise remedial measures;
C. 
Conduct engineering investigations of traffic conditions;
D. 
Determine the operation of traffic on the streets and highways of the City;
E. 
Cooperate with other City officials in the development of ways and means to improve traffic conditions; and
F. 
Carry out such additional powers and duties as are imposed upon him by ordinances of the City.
