Editor's Note: This local law also provided for the repeal
of former Ch. 162, Picketing, Parades and Demonstrations, adopted
9-11-1997 by L.L. No. 3-1997.
The Board of Trustees hereby determines that it is necessary
for proper traffic control and to ensure public safety to have the
Village Police Department receive at least 48 hours' notification
of any parade or picketing so that an appropriate number of police
officers may be on duty to ensure both proper traffic control and
public safety.
Any parade, procession or convoy of any component of the Armed
Forces of the United States or the State of New York or any other
governmental organization and funeral processions shall be exempt
herefrom.
The notification shall state:
Failure to notify, in the manner set forth above, is a violation.
The fine for the first violation is $25; for a subsequent violation
the fine shall be $50.
