The Board of Trustees hereby determines that it is necessary for proper traffic control and to ensure public safety to have the Village Police Department receive at least 48 hours' notification of any parade or picketing so that an appropriate number of police officers may be on duty to ensure both proper traffic control and public safety.
Any parade, procession or convoy of any component of the Armed Forces of the United States or the State of New York or any other governmental organization and funeral processions shall be exempt herefrom.
The notification shall state:
A.
The date and hour for the assembling of the participants in such parade or picketing and the expected duration thereof.
B.
The name of the sponsoring organization, if any, and the name and address of the person in charge.
Failure to notify, in the manner set forth above, is a violation. The fine for the first violation is $25; for a subsequent violation the fine shall be $50.
