[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village

The Board of Trustees may appoint a Code Enforcement Officer
to enforce the provisions of various chapters of the Code of the Village
of Suffern and to appear in courts of competent jurisdiction in order
to enforce the same.

In addition to any other chapters or provisions which the Code
Enforcement Officer may heretofore have been authorized to enforce,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Code of the Village
of Suffern, the Code Enforcement Officer is hereby authorized to enforce
the provisions of:

A.
In addition to any other individual, officer or employee authorized
to enforce any provision of the Code of the Village of Suffern, every
police officer employed by the Village of Suffern is authorized to
enforce every provision of the Code of the Village of Suffern.
B.
In addition to any other individual, officer or employee authorized to enforce the following provisions, the Fire Inspector and Assistant Fire Inspectors are authorized to enforce the following provisions: § 254-25.2 and 254-71 (fire zones); and Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1202(b) (stopping, standing, or parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant).

A.
Police officers. Any police officer employed by the Village of Suffern
is hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets in the name of the
Village of Suffern for the violation of any chapter, section and/or
provision of the Code of the Village of Suffern.
B.
Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer is hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets in the name of the Village of Suffern for violation of any chapter, section and/or provision of the Code of the Village of Suffern which he is authorized to enforce, including, but not limited to, the provisions set forth in § 105-2 of this chapter.
