This article shall be known and may be cited as the "Raffle Licensing Ordinance of Englewood."

Any bona fide organization or association of veterans of any war in which the United States has been engaged, churches, or religious congregations and religious organizations, charitable, educational, and fraternal organizations, civic and service clubs, senior citizens associations and clubs, and officially recognized volunteer first-aid or rescue squads may apply to the City for issuance of a license to hold and operate games of chance, restricted to the specific kind of game of chance commonly known as a "raffle," as defined by N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq., known as the "Raffle Licensing Law of New Jersey."
Each applicant for a license shall file a written application in conformity with the Raffle Licensing Law of New Jersey and with the rules and regulations adopted and promulgated by the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission of New Jersey.
The fees for such licenses shall be those provided in the Raffle Licensing Law of New Jersey.

A. 
Upon payment of the required fee and compliance with all provisions of the Raffle Licensing Law of New Jersey and all rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto, the requested license shall be issued by the City Clerk to any applicant qualified therefor under said law.
B. 
Such license may provide for the holding and operating of such games on Sunday.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
