Pursuant to § 1603(a) of the Vehicle and Traffic Law,
power is hereby delegated to the Chief of Police of the Village of
Ravena to exercise by official order, rule or regulation the powers
granted to the legislative body of the Village of Ravena in Article
39 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law; subject, however, to the limitations
imposed by §§ 1645 and 1684 of the Vehicle and Traffic
Law.

Those public servants with the title of Code Enforcement Officer,
Dog/Animal Control Officer, or Zoning Inspector may issue a notice
of parking violation or appearance ticket as prescribed by the Village
Court and by law for the witnessed occurrence of a parking, standing,
or stopping violation in furtherance of enforcing the New York State
Vehicle and Traffic Law, this Village Code, or any local law, ordinance,
or regulation as relates to parking, standing, or stopping.
