The Township is hereby authorized to participate in the Berks
County Cooperative Purchasing Council in accordance with 53 P.S. § 5431
et seq. The Township may enter into an agreement in furtherance of
that participation and the Chairman of the Township Board of Supervisors
is expressly authorized to execute such agreements from time to time
on behalf of the Township. Although a participant in the Berks County
Cooperative Purchasing Council, the Township shall look to the governing
members of the Council for compliance with statutory requirements.
The agreement shall remain in full force and effect unless and
until the Township terminates upon appropriate notice as provided
for in the agreement.
The Township believes it is in the best interest of the taxpayers
to participate in the Council.
The terms and provisions of the agreement between Maidencreek
Township and Berks County Cooperative Purchasing Council authorized
by this article is hereby incorporated by reference herein.
