[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Woodville 8-13-1996 (Secs. 2-1-2, 2-1-4 and 2-1-5 of the 1996 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The voting polls in the Village of Woodville, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, shall be opened as prescribed in § 6.78, Wis. Stats., for all elections.

Pursuant to the Wisconsin Statutes, there is hereby established one set of election officials to conduct all elections in the two wards of the Village which shall consist of five election inspectors. However, the Village Clerk-Treasurer shall have the power to limit the number of election officials. The Clerk-Treasurer shall determine in advance of each election whether the number of election officials for such election should be reduced from the number prescribed by the Wisconsin Statutes, and if such a reduction is so determined, the Clerk-Treasurer shall further redistribute duties among the remaining officials.

A. 
When effective; repealer; statute not applicable.
(1) 
This section, adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Woodville pursuant to § 66.0101, Wis. Stats., shall take effect as hereinafter provided.
(2) 
Those provisions of existing Village ordinances relating to the nomination of candidates for Village offices are hereby repealed.
(3) 
Those provisions of § 8.05, Wis. Stats., which are in conflict with this section shall not apply to the Village of Woodville.[1]

B. 
Nomination of candidates. Nomination of candidates to the offices of the Village President and Village Trustee shall be by nomination papers circulated in accordance with § 8.10, Wis. Stats., and in complete conformity therewith.
C. 
Charter ordinance. This is a charter ordinance and shall take effect 60 days after passage and publication unless within such sixty-day period a referendum petition as provided in § 66.0101, Wis. Stats., shall be filed, in which event this section shall not take effect until it shall have been submitted to a referendum vote of the electors and approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon.
