A. 
Chief of Police.
(1) 
Salary:
(a) 
Salary increases:

Three percent, effective January 1, 2005, retroactive.
[2] 
Three percent, effective January 1, 2006, retroactive.
[3] 
Three and five-tenths percent, effective January 1, 2007, retroactive.
[4] 
Three and five-tenths percent, effective January 1, 2008, retroactive.
[5] 
Three and five-tenths percent, effective January 1, 2009.
[6] 
Three and five-tenths percent, effective January 1, 2010.
(b) 
Retroactive pay shall be paid 30 days from the approval of these terms of employment by the City Council.
(2) 
Health insurance.
(a) 
City of Troy plan for incumbent and dependents. No contribution for incumbent.
(b) 
City of Troy dental plan for individual and family. No contribution for incumbent.
(c) 
No contribution for the incumbent now or into retirement for individual and/or family medical and dental coverage.
(d) 
Co-pays as specified to be paid by the incumbent.
(3) 
The incumbent referred to herein is Nicholas Kaiser only. Upon the incumbent's separation from the City of Troy these terms of employment do not apply to the incumbent's successor.
(4) 
In the absence of the Chief of Police, the incumbent shall designate the most senior Assistant Chief of Police to act as Chief unless otherwise directed by the Mayor.
(5) 
The Chief of Police is a salaried professional exempt from the payment of overtime. He is on call as needed and performs his duties as required or as directed by the Mayor.
(6) 
The Chief of Police shall accrue benefits as follows: sick leave, vacation leave, holidays, holiday pay, personal time, clothing allowance, longevity, pay for unused personal leave and vacation, and premium pay as per the C.O.A.T.S. Agreement, including item number three of the MOA between C.O.A.T.S. and the City of Troy dated September 6th 2007.
(7) 
These terms of employment are subject to approval by the City Council.
B. 
Assistant Chief of Police.
(1) 
Salary.
(a) 
Salary increases:
