The Village of Medina and the Town of Ridgeway are undertaking
a program in cooperation with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation to
increase accessibility of Glenwood Lake for boats and for related
recreational activities. In order to protect the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of the Village and those operating boats or
otherwise engaged in recreational activities on or near the waters
of the Village of Medina, it is necessary to establish speed limits
and other rules and regulations for the operation of boats so that
injuries and property damage can be avoided and so that such recreational
activities can be enjoyed by all wishing to do so.
Provisions of this chapter shall apply to all waters within
the Village of Medina and to all waters bounding the Village of Medina
for a distance of 1,500 feet from the shore.
