Except as otherwise provided by law or specifically provided
by ordinance, any member of any board or agency appointed by the Mayor
and/or City Council who is absent for six consecutive weeks or from
three consecutive regular meetings, whichever is longer, without being
excused therefrom by the board or agency for a valid reason, may be
removed from office by the appointing authority.
