Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes,
the City of New Berlin, is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive
Plan as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2) of the
Wisconsin Statutes.
The Common Council of the City of New Berlin, Wisconsin, has
adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation
in every stage of the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required
by § 66.1001(4)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Plan Commission of the City of New Berlin, by a majority
vote of the Commission recorded in its official minutes, has adopted
Resolution 09-02 recommending to the Common Council the adoption of
the document entitled "City of New Berlin 2020 Comprehensive Plan,"
containing all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2)
of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The City has held at least one public hearing on October 7,
2009, on this Comprehensive Plan, in compliance with the requirements
of § 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Common Council of the City of New Berlin, Wisconsin, does,
by enactment of this chapter, formally adopt the document entitled
"City of New Berlin 2020 Comprehensive Plan," pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c)
of the Wisconsin Statutes.
