Definition. A special events permit shall be used by organizations planning festivals and events that will utilize Village facilities, i.e., parks, streets. Applications may also include the request for temporary alcohol licenses, live bands, etc. The special events permit is intended to be all-inclusive for an event, although specific additional applications may be required as pertain to the event.
A written application for a special events permit by persons or groups desiring the same shall be made on a form provided by the Village Clerk-Treasurer and shall be filed with the Village Clerk-Treasurer by 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the second Wednesday each month. The fee for such permit shall be as set by the Village Board, plus any actual Village administrative expenses. Applications for special events that are filed later than the time prescribed above shall be subject to a late fee as set by the Village Board.
