No person or persons shall feed, cause to be fed or provide food for seagulls, Canada geese, ducks or other water fowl in the Township of Ocean on property either publicly owned or privately owned.

This article shall not be construed to prohibit humane acts toward seagulls, Canada geese, ducks or other water fowl, in individual cases, such as the temporary nurturing of a wounded bird on one's own premises.

No person shall abandon, leave or discard any seagulls, Canada geese, ducks or other water fowl upon any public or private property within the Township of Ocean.
The Police Department, Code Enforcement Officer, the Board of Health and the County Board of Health are authorized and directed to enforce the provisions of this article.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates or neglects to comply with any provisions of this article or any rule or regulation promulgated thereto shall be punishable, upon conviction thereof, by a fine not to exceed $100. As an alternate penalty, a convicted person may be ordered to perform community service not to exceed 10 hours.
