Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the
meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle of Title 39 of
the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed to apply to such
words and phrases used in this chapter.
Whenever certain hours are named in this chapter, they shall
mean either Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Savings Time,
as may be in current use in the Township.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the streets or parts of streets described in § 385-18 are designated as through streets. "Stop" signs shall be installed on the near right side of a street intersecting the through street except where "Yield Right-of-Way" signs are provided for in the designation.
The speed limit described in § 385-19 shall be enforced in the Township. Appropriate signs shall be installed.
Trucks over four tons excluded from certain streets: Trucks over four tons gross weight are excluded from the following streets or parts of streets described in § 385-20, except local pickup and delivery of material, including building material for the construction, renovation and/or alteration of homes for building lots on such street, or on streets adjoining such street which along the street mentioned in § 385-20.
No passing zones shall be established and maintained as designated in § 385-21.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey Statute,
any person convicted of violation of this chapter or a supplement
thereto shall be liable to penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment
for term not exceeding 15 days or both.
