No person shall permit land owned or possessed by him/her in
the Township to contain or have upon it any reeds or foxtails over
a height of three feet, within a distance of 200 feet of any building
whatsoever.
The Township Committee shall cause a list to be made of the
several properties in the Township upon which it is apparent that
there are violations of the provisions of this article.
As soon as the list is completed, the Township Committee shall
cause a written notice to be given to the assessed owner and to the
person in possession, if any, of each property upon which a violation
of this article is found. The notice shall be signed by the Mayor,
the Township Clerk or police officer of the Township and shall state
in brief form the nature of the violation and that it must be removed
within 15 days after notice is given. The notice may be personally
served upon the owner or person in possession of the property, or
both, or it may be mailed to either or both of them by certified mail,
return receipt requested. If neither an owner nor possessor of a parcel
of land containing a violation of this article can be found after
reasonable inquiry, service shall be made by posting the notice on
the lands and premises.

If the violation is not removed and the lands cleared of the
reeds or foxtails within the period stated in the notice, the Township
shall have the right thereafter to go upon the lands and remove same
and charge the costs thereof to and against the lands and collect
same, at the same time and in the same manner as taxes are collected.
