Editor's Note: Purpose. The Township of Ocean has previously adopted Chapter 8.24, entitled "Property Maintenance Code," of the Codified Ordinances of the Township of Ocean. This ordinance adopted the BOCA International Property Maintenance Code, 2000, by reference, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1. The purpose of this ordinance is to adopt and utilize the most recent edition of the BOCA International Property Maintenance Code as the appropriate property maintenance code for all structures and property located within the municipality.
The BOCA International Property Maintenance Code, 2009, is adopted by reference, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1, as the appropriate property maintenance code for all structures and property located within the municipality.
A copy of the BOCA International Property Maintenance Code, 2009, is annexed and adopted by reference, and in addition, three copies of said code shall remain on file at the office of the Municipal Clerk upon introduction of the ordinance codified in this article and shall remain on file there after the ordinance is adopted.
