For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
SKATEBOARD
Any wheeled vehicle intended and designed to be propelled by one foot with one foot on the vehicle at the moment of initial propulsion.
A. 
No person shall operate, attempt to operate, or suffer to be operated by a person for whose conduct he is legally liable a skateboard upon the following highways or sidewalks of the Town of Bedford: all highways delineated on the map on display in the Town of Bedford Police Department.

B. 
No person shall operate, attempt to operate, or suffer to be operated by a person for whose conduct he is legally liable a skateboard upon any public or private parking lot which is maintained primarily for the benefit of paying customers and which is properly posted prohibiting the use of skateboards.
Any person convicted of violation of this chapter shall be liable for a penalty of $100 and may suffer, in the sound discretion of the court, forfeiture of his interest in the skateboard in question to the Town of Bedford, for disposition in such manner as the court may direct.
