The following words and terms, when used in this Part, shall have these stated meanings:
FIRE MARSHAL
The duly appointed Fire Marshal of the Borough of Quakertown or any duly appointed Deputy Fire Marshal.
NO-SMOKING SIGN
A sign or placard indicating to the viewer that smoking, as hereinafter defined, is prohibited, the content, lettering, size, color and location of which sign shall be as designated by the Fire Marshal.
SMOKING
Possession of a cigarette, pipe, cigar or similar object formed of or containing tobacco or other vegetable substance in any form in any Quakertown Community School District building or grounds located in the Borough of Quakertown.

No person shall smoke, use, or carry an electronic cigarette, lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe, lighted tobacco, or other vegetable substance in any form in any Quakertown Community School District building or grounds located in the Borough of Quakertown.

The School Board of Quakertown Community School District shall post "no smoking" signs at entrances of each district school building in the Borough of Quakertown and at all public gathering places within the building. The signs shall contain reference to this Part and shall further provide that violations may result in prosecution.

Smoking shall be prohibited at all times in all Quakertown Community School District buildings, buses, facilities, and grounds within the Borough of Quakertown.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this Part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $600 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
