All residential dwelling units which shall be constructed after the effective date of this Part 1 shall be equipped with one approved smoke detector sensing visible and invisible particles of combustion for each floor of the structure.

The manufacture and type of smoke-detection device shall be
as approved by Underwriters' Laboratories and bear the seal of
Underwriters' Laboratories.

No certificate of occupancy shall be granted by the Zoning Officer
of the Township of Kingston for a new residential dwelling unit constructed
after the effective date of this Part 1 unless the owner of the new
residential dwelling unit complies with the provisions of this Part
1.
