Each Supervisor of West Donegal Township taking office by election or appointment after January 1, 2006, shall receive compensation for attending duly advertised meetings or executive sessions of the Board of Supervisors and performing other duties as a member of the Board of Supervisors at the rate of $2,500 per annum.
No Supervisor shall receive annual compensation under this article in excess of the annual statutory limit set by the General Assembly in Act 68 (1985) for supervisors of second class townships within the appropriate population category.

Members of the Board of Supervisors whose terms of office commenced prior to January 1, 2006, shall receive compensation in accordance with Ordinance No. 79-91 of the Township, enacted November 18, 1991.
Such compensation shall be paid in four quarterly installments.
The salary to be paid each Supervisor pursuant to this article is considered compensation for services rendered by the Supervisor for the duties imposed by law on supervisors of second class townships. Should a Supervisor perform services for the Township while acting as a Superintendent, Roadmaster or laborer, the Supervisor shall be entitled to such additional compensation as is determined by the Township Auditors. However, no Supervisor shall receive compensation as a Superintendent or Roadmaster for time he or she spends attending a meeting of the Board of Supervisors.

This article shall become effective five days after enactment as provided by law and shall apply to Supervisors, whether newly elected, reelected or appointed, who take office on or after January 1, 2006.
