No person or persons, partnership, firm or corporation shall move, or cause to be moved, from any place within the Borough of Walnutport to another place therein or to a place beyond the limits thereof, or move or cause to be moved from any place beyond the limits of the Borough of Walnutport to a place or places within the Borough of Walnutport, any household goods in bulk without first securing from the Borough Secretary of the Borough of Walnutport a permit for such moving or transportation.

Any person or persons, firm or corporation desiring such a permit for the removal or transportation of household goods in the manner above described, shall, prior to moving or causing to be moved household goods as set forth in § 272-1 hereof, make application to the Secretary of the Borough of Walnutport setting forth his, its, or their name and address, and also setting forth names of the owners or reputed owners of the property to be moved, the address and location from which the property is to be moved, and the new address or location of the place to which the property is to be moved.

The Secretary of the Borough of Walnutport shall, upon application being made as provided for in § 272-2 of this chapter, issue a permit for which a charge of $5 will be made. Such application shall set forth the name of the permittee as well as the name or names of the owners of the goods to be moved and the address from which the goods are to be moved and the address to which the goods are to be delivered. No permit shall be issued to remove to a place beyond the limits of the Borough when any taxes due the Borough, other than real estate taxes, remain unpaid by the owners of the goods to be moved.
The provisions of this chapter shall be enforced by the Mayor and/or by such officer as may be designated by Borough Council.

Any person or persons, whether principal or agent, violating any provisions of this chapter, or furnishing false information to the Secretary of the Borough, or using false names or addresses, shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to a fine not exceeding $300 and costs, or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
