Editor's Note: This ordinance repealed former Ch. 45, Fiesta
Del Valle de Española, adopted as Ch. 10, Art. IV, of the Code
of Ordinances.
Citizens of the City who wish to continue the annual July Fiesta
celebration are requested to form a not-for-profit corporation to
assume the work and cost involved in the annual Fiesta.
In consideration of a private not-for-profit Fiesta Corporation
assuming these functions and responsibilities, the City Manager is
authorized to negotiate the transfer to the Corporation of the accumulated
Fiesta personal property held by the City.
As are all community-based celebrations, Fiesta may be granted
co-sponsorship by the City Council pursuant to City policy.
