[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of
Luck 1-6-1988 as Title 10, Ch. 8, of the 1988 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It is hereby declared to be the policy of the Village of Luck
to assure equal opportunity to all persons to live in adequate housing
facilities regardless of sex, race, color, sexual orientation, disability,
religion, national origin, marital status, family status, status as
a victim of domestic abuse, sexual assault, or stalking, lawful source
of income, age, or ancestry and, to that end, to prohibit discrimination
in housing by any persons.
A.
The Village Board of the Village of Luck hereby adopts § 106.50,
Wis. Stats., as amended, and all subsequent amendments thereto.
B.
The officials and employees of the Village of Luck shall assist in
the orderly prevention and removal of all discrimination in housing
within the Village of Luck by implementing the authority and enforcement
procedures set forth in § 106.50, Wis. Stats., as amended.
C.
The Village Clerk-Treasurer shall maintain forms for complaints to
be filed under § 106.50, Wis. Stats., as amended, and shall
assist any person alleging a violation thereof in the Village of Luck
to file a complaint thereunder with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce
Development, Equal Rights Division, for enforcement of § 106.50,
Wis. Stats., as amended.
