Village of Wolcott, NY Article V Stop and Yield Intersections

§ 145-15 Stop intersections.

A. The following intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections, and "stop" signs shall be erected at entrances to such intersections as follows:

(1) Intersection to West Main Street with:

(a) Northup Avenue, entrance from the south.

(b) Draper Street, entrance from the south.

(c) Wright Street, entrance from the north.

(d) Leavenworth Avenue, entrance from the south.

(e) West Avenue, entrance from the south.

(f) Railroad Avenue, entrance from the north.

(g) West Port Bay Road, entrance from the north.

(2) Intersection to Main Street with:

(a) East Main Street, entrance from the east.

(3) Intersection to East Main Street with:

(a) Jefferson Street, entrance from the south.

(4) Intersection to Auburn Street with:

(a) Lake Street, entrance from the northeast.

(b) Alport Street, entrance from the northeast.

(c) Countryman Road, entrance from the east.

(5) Intersection to Butler Street with:

(a) Jefferson Street, entrance from the north.

(6) Intersection to Countryman Road with:

(a) Delf Drive, entrance from the south.

(7) Intersection to Draper Street with:

(a) Washington Street, entrance from the east.

(b) Washington Street, entrance from the west.

(c) Butler Street, entrance from the east.

(d) Butler Street, entrance from the west.

(8) Intersection to East Port Bay Road with:

(a) Cemetery Street, entrance from the north.

(b) Tyrrell Street, entrance from the east.

(9) Intersection to Jefferson Street with:

(a) Washington Street, entrance from the west.

(b) Willow Lane, entrance from the west.

(c) South Parking Lot, entrance from the west.

(10) Intersection to Lake Avenue with:

(a) North Parking Lot, entrance from the east.

(b) Smith Street, entrance from the west.

(c) Wright Street, entrance from the southwest.

(d) High Street, entrance from the east.

(e) Conklin Avenue, entrance from the west.

(f) West Port Bay Road, entrance from the southwest.

(11) Intersection to Mill Street with:

(a) North Parking Lot, entrance from the west.

(b) Cemetery Street, entrance from the north.

(c) Auburn Street, entrance from the north.

(d) East Port Bay Road, entrance from the north.

(e) Lake Street, entrance from the south.

(12) Intersection to New Hartford Street with:

(a) South Parking Lot, entrance from the east.

(b) Park Street, entrance from the west.

(c) Park Lane, entrance from the east.

(d) Washington Street, entrance from the east.

(e) Washington Street, entrance from the west.

(f) Butler Street, entrance from the east.

(g) Butler Street, entrance from the west.

(h) Wilson Street, entrance from the west.

(13) Intersection to Northup Avenue with:

(a) Park Street, entrance from the east.

(14) Intersection to Orchard Street with:

(a) Smith Street, entrance from the north.

(b) Railroad Avenue, entrance from the south.

(15) Intersection to Oswego Street with:

(a) East Port Bay Road, entrance from the north.

(b) Lake Street, entrance from the south.

(c) Alport Street, entrance from the south.

(d) Wadsworth Street, entrance from the north.

(16) Intersection to Smith Street with:

(a) Wright Street, entrance from the northeast.

(b) Wright Street, entrance from southeast.

(17) Intersection to Washington Street with:

(a) Northup Avenue, entrance from the north.

(18) Stop sign at west end of Washington Street entering trailer park (private drive).

(19) Intersection to West Port Bay Road with:

(a) Orchard Street, entrance from the east.

(b) Conklin Avenue, entrance from the east.

(20) Intersection to Williams Street:

(a) Butler Street, entrance from the west.

(21) Intersection to Wilson Street:

(a) Draper Street, entrance from the north.

(b) Sunset Terrace, entrance from the south.

(22) Intersection to Wright Street:

(a) Orchard Street, entrance from the west.

B. Fines shall be in accordance with the provisions of § 1172(a) of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, and any subsequent amendments thereto.

§ 145-16 Operation of signals at certain intersections.

The Village of Wolcott shall continue the operation and maintenance of the traffic control signals at the intersection of Main Street, Lake Avenue and New Hartford Street.

§ 145-17 Traffic governed by certain signals.

All traffic by motor vehicle which is proceeding northerly on New Hartford Street, and which shall turn easterly on Main Street, shall proceed to east of the fountain located at the intersection of New Hartford Street and Main Street, but shall be governed by the traffic control signals as if such traffic were proceeding on the west side of said fountain.
