The most current edition of the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101,
is hereby adopted by reference.

The Fire Department and the Police Department shall enforce
such code and shall have the power to issue citations for violation
of such code and seek every form of judicial relief in order to enforce
such code.
A copy of such code shall be available for inspection by any
person during normal office hours at the main fire station across
from City Hall on North Oñate Street. Copies of the code or
portions of such code shall be available at the expense of the person
requesting such copy.
The owner and the lessee of a structure found to be in violation
of such code, when such structure remains in violation of such code
after the time specified for correction of the violation in a notice
of violation issued by the City, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
