A.
The owner of all buildings or properties used for human occupancy,
employment, recreation or other purposes within the Village and abutting
any street, alley or right-of-way in which, or adjacent to which,
there is located a Village sanitary sewer or other Village sewer carrying
sewage is hereby required, at his expense, to permanently connect
such facilities directly with the Village sewer in accordance with
the provisions of this chapter, provided that said Village sewer is
within 100 feet of the property line.
B.
An owner who has not already connected to the Village sewer shall promptly undertake connection after receiving official notice from the Village to do so. A completed permit application shall be filed, in accordance with Article V, within 30 days of receiving the Village's official notice to connect, unless the notice specifies a longer period. The connection must be completed within 60 days of the date of issue of the permit, unless the owner has requested and the Administrator has granted an extension because of excusable delay.
Unless a waiver has been granted under Article III, the connection required in this article includes those buildings and properties served by existing private sewage disposal systems.
