Any person committing an offense against any of the provisions
of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation under the Penal Law
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
Whenever any person or persons has incurred any fine or penalty under the provisions of § 298-38, it shall be held to mean the sum designated, together with the cost of prosecution. The penalty above referred to shall be in addition to any civil remedy which the Village of Walden might have in an action of law against the party or parties offending.
