The Hawthorne Building Department established in and regulated by Chapter 185, Construction Codes, Uniform, of the Code shall be and hereby is made part of this Division, in the Department of Administration, and all appointments provided in said Chapter 185 shall be made by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Municipal Council. The Construction Official shall be the head of this Department under the supervision of the Business Administrator.
The Zoning Administrator, provided for in Chapter 293 of the Code, and all of the functions and duties of that officer described therein or in Chapters 450, 540 or any other chapter or provision of the Code, is hereby made part of this Division, in the Department of Administration, and shall be under the supervision of the Business Administrator.
