A. 
The Village Board may, by order, at a regular or special meeting, modify or suspend parking allowed on Village streets or in Village parking lots for a period not to exceed 60 days, when the Village Board finds that construction, maintenance or a special event may alter the traffic patterns used in the Village.
B. 
The Village Board may, by order, at a regular or special meeting, modify or suspend vehicle weight limits set forth in § 310-14 for a period not to exceed 60 days, when the Village Board finds that construction, maintenance or a special event would prohibit such vehicles from making deliveries to residences and businesses located in the Village.
C. 
Said modification or suspension may be renewed by the Village Board for further periods of 60 days upon a finding that the circumstance requiring the modification or suspension is likely to continue to exist.
D. 
Any order made hereunder shall direct the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works to post the signs necessary to advise motorists of the change in allowable parking and to remove, cover or modify the weight limit signs or to post special signs to notify drivers of the changes.
E. 
Upon such order being passed, the Village Clerk shall transmit a copy thereof to the Ogden Police Department, the Monroe County Sheriff and the New York State Police.
Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter which is not a violation of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $150 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a conviction of a second violation, both of which were committed within a period of 18 months, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a conviction of a third or subsequent violation, all of which were committed within a period of 18 months, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $450 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.

A. 
Except those parts, if any, which are subject to approval under § 1684 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, this chapter and any regulations adopted hereunder shall take effect as provided by law.
B. 
Any part or parts of this chapter and any regulations adopted hereunder which are subject to approval under § 1684 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall take effect from and after the day on which approval in writing is received from the New York State Department of Transportation.
If any article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision of this chapter shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such adjudication shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
All prior ordinances, regulations and rules, or parts thereof, of this Village regulating traffic and parking are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance, regulation or rule hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
