Borough of Mount Gretna, PA Chapter 5 Auditor

§ 5-1 Authorization to appoint auditor; qualifications of auditor.

The Council of the Borough of Mount Gretna is hereby authorized to appoint an independent auditor who shall be:

A. A certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania; or

B. A firm of certified public accountants so registered; or

C. A competent public accountant; or

D. A competent firm of public accountants.

§ 5-2 Annual appointment; duties.

An independent auditor shall be appointed annually, by resolution before the close of a fiscal year, to make an independent examination of the accounting records of the Borough for such fiscal year.

§ 5-3 Other duties and powers.

The Independent auditor shall also perform the other duties and exercise the powers as conferred upon him, by Article XI, Section K of the Borough Code, Act Number 581, of February 1, 1966,[1] and amendments.

§ 5-4 Abolishment of elected office.

The office of elected Borough auditor or controller is hereby abolished.
