[Adopted 3-26-1979 by Res. No. 1979-8 (Ch. 1, Part 1C, of the 1975 Borough Code)]
The office of Borough Administrator be and the same is hereby created, subject, however, to the right of Council at any time to abolish said office. The filling of the office shall be by majority vote of Council. The Borough Administrator shall, however, be subject to removal by Council at any time, by vote of a majority of its members.
The Borough Administrator shall be a citizen of the United States, at least 21 years of age.
Before entering upon his or her duties, the Borough Administrator shall present a bond to the Borough Council, with acceptable corporate surety, to be approved by Council, in an amount to be fixed by Borough Council from time to time, conditioned for the faithful performance of his or her duties.
The salary of the Borough Administrator shall be fixed by Borough Council at the time of his or her appointment, and from time to time thereafter.
The Borough Administrator shall function as the Office Manager, in charge of the financial aspects of the Borough, and also in charge of regulations keeping the Borough abreast of its compliance with safety, insurance and governmental regulations, also, checking into funding available to the Borough for its programs or new projects in the future with the county, state or federal governments.
The Borough Administrator shall be a person with technical and executive ability and with such training and experience as will enable him to perform the duties of the office in a successful and businesslike manner.
Subject to the direction of the Borough Manager and subject to revisions or revocation and recall of any of the duties imposed upon him or her by resolution of Council, the powers and duties of the Borough Administrator shall include the following:
A. 
The Borough Administrator would attend all meetings of the Borough Council.
B. 
The Borough Administrator shall have custody of and maintain all Borough records, including the Borough accounts and financial records.[1]

C. 
The Borough Administrator shall attend the monthly meeting of the Sewer Authority and report on each meeting to Council each month.[2]

D. 
The Borough Administrator shall perform the duties of Borough Manager in his absence.
