In order to efficiently deploy firefighting equipment in the case of emergencies, there is hereby established a fire lane adjacent to the curb in the front of the buildings in the Palmyra Shopping Center extending in width a distance of 35 feet in front of the buildings facing in a southerly direction and extending in width a distance of 20 feet in front of the buildings facing in a westerly direction.
It shall be unlawful for any person or corporation, whether principal or agent, to stop or park at any time any unattended vehicle of any kind in the fire lane described in this chapter and more particularly delineated in a plan dated July 19, 1978, prepared by the Borough of Palmyra Engineer and attached hereto and made a part hereof. Vehicles may temporarily occupy the fire lane for the purpose of loading or unloading said vehicle, provided that it is attended at all times by a person capable of operating and removing the vehicle.

Any persons or corporation violating the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties provided in § 350-6.
This article shall not be interpreted as assumption of any liability for the Borough of Palmyra to maintain or service the fire lane area, and the only control of the municipality over the fire lane area shall be for policing.
