[Adopted 5-27-1997 by Ord. No. 635 (Ch. XXI, Part 5, of the 1975 Borough Code)]
The purpose of this article is to provide for the safety and welfare of both motorists and pedestrians using public streets, roadways and alleys within the Borough of Palmyra by limiting the use of conflicting modes of transportation or movement on these public facilities which increases risk of accidents causing bodily injury and property damage.
The public streets, roadways and alleys within the Borough of Palmyra shall not be used as play areas, which includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: ballplaying, including the throwing, kicking or knocking of any ball or other missile or any kind.
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a maximum fine of $600 and costs of prosecution.

A. 
Every property owner in the Borough of Palmyra shall, upon 45 days' notice from the Borough Council or the agent of the Council, construct, reconstruct or repair sidewalks and/or curbs upon or adjacent to his property in accordance with plans, and details and specifications herein. No work shall be performed from November 1 through March 1.
B. 
To determine compliance with this article, the Borough shall use the Sidewalk Inspection Form included with Appendix A of this article.[1]
