In this ordinance,[1] the word "person" shall mean and include any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation. The singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.

It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct or hold any street parade, street meeting or public gathering of any kind upon street, alley, sidewalk or public ground in the Borough of Mifflinburg without first having obtained a permit therefore from the Mayor. The application for the permit shall be made to the Mayor, in writing, at least five days in advance of the date of such parade, street meeting or other gathering, and the permit shall state the time, date and place of such parade, meeting or gathering, and, in the case of a parade, the precise route to be followed thereby. It shall be unlawful for any permit holder to violate any of the conditions of such permit as to date, time, place and/or route.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or use any sound truck with soundamplifying equipment in operation, upon any of the streets, alleys and/or public grounds in the Borough, without first obtaining a permit therefore from the Mayor. No such sound truck shall be used with sound-amplifying equipment in operation otherwise than on the days and between the hours specified in the permit therefore, and the Mayor shall not issue any permit for such use of any such sound truck at any time on Sunday, or on any weekday at any time before 9:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance[1] shall, for each and every such violation, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Provided: each day on which any such violation shall take place shall constitute a separate violation.
