3-1 
For the purpose of obtaining the assent of the qualified electors of the Borough of Mifflinburg to increase the indebtedness of said Borough to the amount of $30,000, or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of constructing waterworks for the said Borough. (Ord. 36, 7/19/1897)

To provide for the payment of taxes by the Borough of Mifflinburg and the bonds to be issued for the payment of Borough waterworks. (Ord. 37, 3/1/1898) (This provides that the bonds authorized by the ordinance listed in Section 3-1, above, were to be issued with the understanding that the Borough would pay all State, county and municipal taxes that might lawfully be assessed on the bonds in the hands of any holder or holders thereof.)

For the purpose of obtaining the assent of the electors of the Borough of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, to an increase of the indebtedness of said Borough in the sum of $6000, or as much thereof as may be necessary, for the construction of an electric light plant to provide the ample supply of light for the streets, public buildings and grounds of said Borough, and for commercial purposes for the use of the inhabitants thereof.
