Directing and authorizing the laying, building and construction of a concrete roadway on Chestnut Street from the eastern to the western end of said street in the Borough of Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania; the entire width of said street from gutter to gutter where curbs and gutters have heretofore been laid, built and constructed; from curb to curb in the portions of said street where curb and gutter have not yet been laid; also directing and authorizing the laying, building and construction of a concrete roadway on Third Street in said Borough of Mifflinburg, beginning at the southern terminus of the concrete roadway heretofore laid at the southern side of the alley between Chestnut Street and Market Street to the northern side of the footway crossing Third Street at the north side of Market Street in accordance with the survey of Walter Frick, Borough Engineer, adopted March 25, 1913; and requiring all water mains, water and sewer service pipes, cellar drains, and all other pipes of every description extending into said street beyond the curb lines to be laid, relaid, or placed in such condition of repair as to avoid any openings on the street at any time within five years except in cases of emergency; and providing that the cost of said concrete street roadway be paid 1/3 by the Borough of Mifflinburg and 1/3 by the owners of the property abutting on each side of the streets; and prescribing the manner of ascertaining the cost to each property owner and the collection of the same. There was to be a central roadway for vehicular traffic 35.9 feet wide, reduced to 26 feet after leaving the railroad right-of-way.
