(These ordinances are no longer in effect, having been superseded by Ordinance 272, which comprises Chapter 29 of this codification. These prior zoning ordinances are listed here, however, as a convenience to those wishing to determine when specific uses of land and buildings were first permitted or prohibited in the various districts, and when specific land in the Borough was placed in a particular district. Thereby it can be determined whether specific property, not in conformity with the present zoning ordinance, is a lawful nonconforming use.)

Classifying, regulating and restricting the height, number of stores, and size of buildings and other structures, the percentage of lot that may be occupied; the size of yards and other open spaces; the density of population; the location and use of buildings, structures and land for trade, industry, residence and other purposes; and providing fines and penalties for violations; so as to promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the said Borough of Mifflinburg. Amending Ordinance No. 144, "An Ordinance of the Borough of Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania, classifying, regulating and restricting the height, number of stories and size of buildings and other structures, the percentage of lot that may be occupied, the size of yards and other open spaces, the density of population, the location and use of buildings, structures and land for trade, industry, residence and other purposes; establishing the boundaries of districts for said purposes; and providing fines and penalties for violations; so as to promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of said Borough of Mifflinburg. (Ord. 191, 7/17/1956) (For ordinance amended by this ordinance, see Section 13-1, above. This amended the zoning map by designating as a "C" Business District Chestnut Street, both north and south sides, from the eastern boundary of the Borough at a point approximately 300 feet east of Mable Street, to the western boundary of the Borough at the west boundary of Fourteenth Street.)

(Ord. 256, 3/19/1968) (This amended the ordinance listed in Section 13-1, above to provide that all lands annexed to the Borough since the enactment of that ordinance, with the exception of the Mifflinburg Area Industrial Park, which was to be zone "Industrial," were thereafter to be zoned Residence District "A" or Residence District "B," provided, however, that within a reasonable period of time after the adoption of this amendment, the Zoning Commission was to recommend to Borough Council any other zone districts that would be designated in the annexed lands in accordance with comprehensive studies to be undertaken by the Zoning Commission.)

(Ord. 267, 5/20/1969) (This amended Sections 306 and 406 of the ordinance listed in § 13-1, above, to require that all new residential family units, single, double or multiple occupancy, located in Residence Districts "A" and "B" provide adequate off-street parking space per unit.)
