(Ord. 174, 6/17/1952) (The width of the street had been previously set at 33 feet, for the use of roadway and sidewalk; this provided that the sidewalk portion be reduced by 1.5 feet, to five feet, on the west side of Third Street, north of Thompson Street, adjacent to the property of Harry S. Wolfe and Paul Smith, conditioned upon their releasing the Borough from -ny and all property condemnation of the 1.5 foot-wide strip.)

Regulating the widths of sidewalks or footways in the Borough of Mifflinburg on each side of Chestnut Street between Line Street and the eastern boundary line of the said Borough, also between Eleventh Street and the western boundary line along Ninth Street in Chambers Addition. (Ord. 175, 9/16/1952) This fixed the widths of sidewalks as follows:
1.
On each side of Chestnut Street, be-tween Line Street and Mable Street, five feet, from the lot line to the out-side of the curb.
2.
On each side of Chestnut Street, be-tween Eleventh Street and Fourteenth Street, five feet, from the lot line to the outside of the curb.
3.
On each side of Albert Street, between Chestnut Street and Market Street, 10 feet, from the lot line to the outside of the curb, of which five feet along the lot line reserved for shade trees or lawn.
4.
On each side of Klingler Street, and Line Street between Market Street and the Pennsylvania Railroad, 10 feet, from lot line to the outside of the curb, of which five feet along the lot line reserved for shade trees of lawn.
5.
On the west side of Eighth Street, between High Street and Green Street, 12 feet, from the lot line to the outside edge of the curb, of which seven feet along the curb line reserved for shade trees or lawn.
6.
On each side of Ninth Street, between High Street and the south line of Beckley's Addition, 12 feet, from the lot line to the outside of the curb, of which seven feet along the lot line reserved for shade trees or lawn.
7.
On each side of Tenth Street between Chestnut Street and Green Street, 12 feet, from the lot line to the outside of the curb, of which seven feet along the lot line reserved for shade trees or lawn.
No cellar doors, steps, porches or chimneys were permitted to extend into the sidewalks or footways in any of those streets.
