GENERAL REFERENCES
Presence of minors in dance halls — See Ch. 73.
A. 
No minor shall frequent, play in or loiter in any public poolroom or billiard room operated in conjunction with any establishment licensed under the State Alcoholic Beverage Control Act; nor shall any minor under 15 years of age frequent, play in or loiter in any other public poolroom or billiard room; nor shall the proprietor of any public poolroom or billiard room or his or her agent permit any such minor to frequent, play in or loiter in any such place in violation of the foregoing provisions of this section.
B. 
Nothing in this section shall apply to military or naval personnel in uniform in any poolroom or billiard room.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 18 years to be upon the streets or in any other public place of the Town between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or some adult person lawfully in charge of such minor under the age of 18 years.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any parent, guardian or other person having custody of a minor under the age of 18 years to allow such minor to be upon the streets or in other public places in the Town between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or some adult person lawfully in charge of such minor.
C. 
This section shall not be construed as to prohibit minors under 18 years of age from attending places of religious worship or meetings held by or under the auspices of the public schools or Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts or other like organizations unaccompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult person.
A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to appear on the streets, highways, public homes, private homes or public places in the Town to make trick-or-treat visitations, except that this subsection shall not apply to children 14 years of age and under on Halloween night.
B. 
A special curfew hour of 10:00 p.m. on Halloween evening is hereby established for the trick-or-treat visitations permitted by Subsection A of this section.
It shall be unlawful for any person over 14 years of age to appear upon the streets or sidewalks of the Town, at any time, wearing a mask or other means of disguise as to conceal his or her identity; provided, however, that this section shall not apply to persons in the act of representing a charitable, social or patriotic organization or to persons taking part in a public entertainment.
Violations of any provisions of this chapter by a minor shall be disposed of as provided in §§ 16.1-278.4 and 16.1-278.5 of the Code of Virginia.
