As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
A written notice issued and subscribed by a public servant
authorized by law to issue the same, directing a designated person
to appear in a designated local criminal court at a designated future
time charging him with the commission of a designated offense. A notice
conforming to such definition constitutes an "appearance ticket" regardless
of whether it is referred to in some other provision of law as a summons
or by any other name or title. This section shall take precedence
over any prior section relative to the issuance or the time for issuance
of an appearance ticket or violation.
The following persons are hereby authorized and empowered to
issue and serve appearance tickets, provided that the issuance thereof
is made pursuant to their statutory authority and is otherwise consistent
with the terms and provisions of this chapter:

The
following subjects that are currently regulated by the Village of
Nyack local laws and/or ordinances may be enforced by the issuance
of appearance tickets:
(1)
Garbage, refuse and rubbish.
(2)
Abandoned automobiles.
(3)
Signs, awnings and marquees.
(4)
Sound trucks.
(5)
Discarded refrigerators.
(6)
Sewers and drains.
(7)
Excavation of land or stripping of soil.
(8)
Hawkers, peddlers and solicitors.
(9)
Public amusements.
(10)
Streets and sidewalks, in general.
(11)
Defective, unsafe, dangerous or obstructed streets, sidewalks, culverts,
bridges, etc.
(12)
Any other violation of the Village Code falling within the jurisdiction
of the aforementioned Inspectors.
Every appearance ticket that is issued pursuant to the provisions
of this chapter shall include the following:
A.
Name
and address of party(ies) to whom ticket is issued.
B.
Citation
of law(s) and the appropriate section(s) allegedly violated.
C.
Place
and date of alleged violation(s).
D.
Place,
date and time that party(ies) is (are) required to appear in court.
E.
Date
of issuance of appearance ticket(s).
F.
Title
and signature of issuing officer(s).
