GENERAL REFERENCES
Protection of employees making allegations of misconduct — See Ch. 71.
Workplace guidelines against sexual harassment — See Ch. 110, Art. III.
[Adopted 5-29-1990 by Res. No. 438-1990 (Ch. 82, Art. III, § 82-24, of the 1985 Code)]
The progressive discipline procedures shall constitute the graduated schedule of penalties and disciplinary actions to be assessed and instituted in accordance with the severity and/or repetitiveness of any finding and determination of sexual harassment, as required by Chapter 110, Health and Safety of Employees, Article III, Workplace Guidelines Against Sexual Harassment, § 110-18C, of the Suffolk County Code and shall include one or more of the following:
A. 
Verbal reprimand.
B. 
Written reprimand.
C. 
Transfer as a result of a satisfactory informal resolution procedure or as a sanction prior to the completion of a § 75 Civil Service Law hearing or a formal hearing pursuant to § 110-18C of the Suffolk County Code.
D. 
Demotion in grade and title.
E. 
Suspension without pay for a period not exceeding two months.
F. 
Fine not to exceed $100 to be deducted from the salary or wages of such employee.
G. 
Dismissal.
