This chapter shall apply to all public parks, playing fields,
and other recreational areas and facilities owned, leased or controlled
by the Borough of Paxtang.
Rules and regulations for public parks, playing fields and other
designated recreational facilities and areas of the Borough shall
be approved by resolution of Borough Council from time to time and
shall apply to all public parks, playing fields and other designated
recreational facilities and areas within the Borough of Paxtang. The
Borough specifically adopts by reference the City of Harrisburg's
Park and Recreation Rules and Regulations.[1]

A.
Pursuant to such intergovernmental cooperation agreements as executed
by and with the City of Harrisburg and such other municipalities being
a part of the Capital Area Greenbelt Recreation Area ("Capital Area
Greenbelt"), the Parks Rules and Regulations of the City of Harrisburg,
Chapter 10-301 of the City of Harrisburg Codified Ordinances, are
adopted and made a part of this chapter, and are incorporated herein
by reference, the same as though set forth at length. A certified
copy of Chapter 10-301 of the City of Harrisburg Codified Ordinances,
as amended, shall be obtained by the Borough Secretary, appended and
set forth as part of the Code of the Borough of Paxtang.
B.
As to all those areas of the Capital Area Greenbelt running through
and being contiguous with the Borough of Paxtang, also being part
of the City of Harrisburg, Susquehanna Township, Swatara Township
and Penbrook Borough, the law enforcement officers, park rangers,
codes enforcement officers, public safety and such other personnel
as may be otherwise authorized to enforce the ordinances of the Borough
of Paxtang are hereby authorized and permitted to travel on the Capital
Area Greenbelt and enforce the Rules and Regulations found in Chapter
10-301 of the City of Harrisburg Codified Ordinances in addition to
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Crimes Code and the park rules and
regulations of the Borough of Paxtang.
A.
For the purposes of enforcing the provisions of this chapter and
any rules and regulations adopted by reference, any warning or notice
of a violation shall be given whenever park rangers, police officers
or any other person who is authorized to enforce this chapter observes
or by information becomes aware of a violation; that person is hereby
authorized to issue a citation pursuant to Pa.R.Crim.P. No. 400 et
seq.
B.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall,
upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than
$600 and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
