[Adopted 12-15-1992 by Ord. No. 535 (Part 12, Ch. 2, Art. B, of the 1994 Code of Ordinances)]
Any property owner who fails to remove or to cause the removal of snow, slush and ice from his sidewalk to a width of three feet within 24 hours after the snow has ceased falling or the ice has ceased to be formed shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution, provided that, in case of failure on the part of a property owner to remove or cause removal of snow, ice or slush within the time limit prescribed herein, the sidewalk may be cleaned by the Borough, and the cost of cleaning, with an additional amount of 10%, shall be paid by the property owner.
