Pursuant to Chapter 110 of the Public Laws of 1988,[1] the position of Chief Municipal Finance Officer is created.

The individual filling such position shall carry out the responsibilities
of said position as set forth in N.J.S.A. 52:27BB-26 et seq. with
respect to fiscal administration and local government.
