The Council shall appoint an advisory committee of five citizens
of Laconia who shall be known as the "Putnam Fund Advisory Committee,"
and who shall advise the Trustees of Trust Funds of the uses of the
income from the Perley and Ellen M. Putnam Free Lecture Fund.
The Council shall annually, on or after the fourth Tuesday of
March, appoint one Committee member to take the place of the Committee
member whose term then expires and who shall thereupon serve for five
years until his successor is chosen and qualified. The members of
the Advisory Committee shall organize annually and shall elect a Chairman
and such other officers as the Committee shall deem necessary.
It shall be the obligation of the Trustees of Trust Funds to
consult with the Advisory Committee prior to the initiation of any
use of the income from said fund.
