(1)
Composition. There is established a town planning board to consist
of 7 members who are appointed as hereinbefore provided in this charter
and having such powers and performing such duties as provided by law.
(2)
Terms. Members serve terms of 3 years and until their successors
are appointed and qualified.
(3)
Term limits. No member may serve more than 3 consecutive terms of
3 years. Any member who has served 3 consecutive terms of 3 years
is ineligible to serve on the board for a period of 1 year. Computation
of term limits commences with the first term of 3 years following
the effective date of this provision. Computation of term limits does
not include service prior to the effective date of this provision
nor to terms of fewer than 3 years after the effective date.
There must be a comprehensive plan as provided by law.
There must be a zoning ordinance as provided by law.
