The County of Suffolk hereby agrees to reimburse Suffolk County residents, aged 65 years or older, for the copayments they are obligated to make under the EPIC program, pursuant to Article 19-K of the New York Executive Law, in an amount not to exceed 25% of such copayments, or $50, whichever is greater, beginning July 31, 2002, said program to be subject to annual appropriations each year thereafter.
The County Office of HMO Services is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed, pursuant to Resolution No. 1099-2000, to implement the provisions of § 977-1 of this article, including the promulgation and issuance of such rules and regulations as may be necessary and appropriate to implement the provisions of this article.
