[Adopted 10-7-1997 by Res. No. 888-1997 (Ch. 730, Art. I,
of the 1985 Code)]
This Legislature hereby offers a reward of $1,000 to any person
who provides information, on or after the effective date of this article,
which shall lead to the detection, arrest and conviction of a person
or persons guilty of the murder of any law enforcement officer or
official employed in the Suffolk County Police Department, the Suffolk
County District Attorney's office, the Suffolk County Sheriff's
office, and/or the Suffolk County Probation Department.
There is no time limitation for the offer of such a reward,
and the reward shall apply to any subsequent crime as described above
that may occur on or after the effective date of this article.
