It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to intentionally
injure, deface, or destroy any public property, located within Chesapeake
Beach. For the purposes of this article, "public property" shall include
real property, fixtures on real property, or chattel, owned or leased
by Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, any county of the State of Maryland,
the State of Maryland or any of its agencies, or the United States
federal government.
Any person or entity violating the provisions of this article
shall be guilty of a municipal infraction and, upon conviction thereof,
is subject to a fine of $500.
The application of this article shall not alter or limit the
right of the owner of public property, including Chesapeake Beach,
Maryland, to seek redress from any person or entity for damages resulting
from the injury to said property, whether the remedy is civil or equitable
in nature, and regardless of whether the remedy is provided by common
law or statute.

For the purposes of this article, the act of "disturbing" a
public meeting of the Town of the Town of Chesapeake Beach shall mean
any one of the following actions:
A.
Intentionally interrupting a person recognized by the presiding officer
of the meeting as "having the floor" or otherwise given the right
to speak to the public body.
B.
Continuing to violate a rule of procedure of the public body after
being informed of the rule or the rule's application to specific
facts.
C.
Making threats, whether verbal or physical, towards any other person
at the meeting.
D.
Continuing to speak after being informed that the person's time
allowed for addressing the meeting has expired.
E.
Using foul or profane language after having been previously warned
not to use such language at the meeting.
F.
Refusing to be seated when directed by the presiding officer of the
meeting to be seated.
G.
Intentionally interfering or tampering with any transcription, transmission,
or recording device, including but not limited to audio and visual
tape recorders, cameras, microphones, speakers or other devices.
H.
Intentionally defacing, marking, destroying, or removing from the
meeting any exhibit or demonstrative evidence presented, or intended
by another person or entity to be presented at the meeting.
I.
Failing to obey a directive of the presiding officer of the meeting
if said directive is designed to facilitate the progress, decorum,
civility of the meeting or the safety of participants or attendees
of the meeting, and the directive is made specifically to the person
who failed to obey said directive, even if the directive was earlier
made to all participants or observers of the meeting.
It shall be unlawful for a person to disturb, as herein defined,
a public meeting conducted by the government of Chesapeake Beach,
Maryland, including but not limited to the regular, special or executive
session meetings of the Town Council, an executive committee, a charter
agency, an administrative proceeding, the Planning and Zoning Commission,
or the Zoning Board of Appeals. The terms of this article shall not
apply to any person serving as the Mayor or a member of the public
body that is meeting.
Any person or entity violating the provisions of this article
shall be guilty of a municipal infraction and, upon conviction thereof,
is subject to a fine of $400.
